Justin, moving to the Big Country from the Dallas area, is a converted Clydeite, as he, his wife, Emily, and their son Jaxon (2), bought their first home in Clyde this summer. He finds his most joy outside Art of Strength spending time with Emily and watching their little man, Jaxon grow up before their eyes; trying not to blink. He also enjoys (doin' life) with the people in their close community of Kingdom Life Fellowship.
"I was once lost and now I'm found...Corporate America was not my niche as I dreaded going to and from work knowing the only benefit I got was a paycheck and some insurance. For some, that's the solution to all their problems, for me life means so much more. I want to experience the fullness of joy and enjoying what I do daily plays a role in that. Our bodies are to be the temple in which Jesus Christ is to dwell, I want to have him live in the nicest house on the block. I would love the opportunity to 'flip' your house."

LESLIE MICHAEL
MA Counseling and Human Development (in process)
BA Exercise and Sport Studies
Leslie has been in the fitness industry for nine years. Her passion for exercise grew when she saw changes in her own lifestyle in her early years of college. She has been running marathons and other races since 2003, completing – amongst others – the San Diego Rock’N’Roll Marathon, Disney World Marathon and Longbeach Marathon. She enjoys any sort of activities that involve outdoors as well as those precious “get away” relaxation and quiet times. She has a passion for working with groups of individuals and motivating them to be RESULTS DRIVEN. Falling short of one’s goals is NOT an option. Focusing on all aspects of wellness - mind, body and spirit - is an important contributor to helping individuals reach long-term healthful results. She also enjoys working with athletes and endurance competitors. She has coached running teams for the Leukemia Society and the Hendrick Health Club since 2003. She can also be seen on “Fitness Fridays” every Friday at 5 PM on KTAB TV. She attends and leads a “Race for Righteousness” SHAKE group at Beltway Park Church.

Les Mills Body Vive Instructor
I’ve been to the point where I was sick of how I was treating my own body. I ate and drank whatever I wanted, when I wanted. I didn’t really know exactly what I was doing to my body. I was an athlete, so nothing really bad had happened to my body until I stopped playing sports. I gained weight, and my health was going down the drain. Seeing that if I kept traveling down that road, I would end up having a massive heart attack at the young age of 33, exactly like my uncle. I made the decision to improve my health and do whatever I could to be fit and prolong my life. I could not have done it without making that decision. I lost 57 pounds, decreased my blood pressure and improved all areas of my life as well. I have been able to maintain my weight loss for four years now. I became a personal trainer to be that reliable person you need guiding you through your journey for success. Make the decision to change now!

I have worked with the Hendrick Health System for 28 years and truly believe in its mission. This health club is a dream come true for me. My journey began at 18 years old, fresh out of high school. Richard Shelburn took a chance and offered me a job, starting in the Radiology department. I worked the night shift while going to college during the day. After two years, I transferred to the Physical Therapy department. I spent the next 10 years working with Orthopedics, Neurology and Wound Care patients. When Hendrick Center for Rehab opened its doors, I transferred to the Worksite Wellness program. I began working with the Rehab Advantage clients.
Kevin Tutt, Ron Richert, Jackie Moritz and I had a vision for a new type of “gym.” Our vision promoted exercise as a healthy lifestyle, incorporating nutrition for weight loss and exercise to lower blood pressure and cholesterol. I am proud to be a part of the Hendrick Health Club, and, hopefully, I touched a few lives along the way.
